Power to the people...

I don't really know what I think of this. On one hand, I always dig people standing up for what they believe in-- especially in this case given that the students pay tuition and are fighting for a voice in their universities' leadership. On the other hand, sometimes protests get unnecessarily violent. Or, what if students were protesting in favor of something immoral or unjust? Yikes, this is a tough one. Shoot me your thoughts...

discussion...

we had a rad discussion at home group last night about the gospel and i thought i'd bring it up here. we're reading donald miller's "searching for god knows what" and his chapter entitled "the gospel of jesus" sparked our discussion. the question of choice was "what does jesus ask for?" or "what does it take to inherit eternal life?" or if someone says, "i want to become a christian", what is it they need to know/do/believe? those might all be the same question or they might be totally different. thoughts? ideas? responses? holla at me.

blogs make me feel better about myself

I'm not sure why, they just do. I don't know, something about people actually reading what I've written-- not that they will, of course, but I can dream. But that's beside the point...

Sitting in my office...listening to The Black Crowes live record...need coffee...allergies are killin' me...just switched to Robert Earl Keen, "Bigger Piece of Sky"-- never heard of him? Check him out on iTunes. I'm out.
